Proper surface preparation is the most important factor in the success of any resinous flooring or coating system application. We take the utmost care to insure that all the necessary steps in preparation are accomplished.

Mechanical prep is the preferred method of surface preparation. Shot blasting or diamond grinding removes all surface laitance and contaminations. It also opens the surface of the concrete allowing for deeper penetration of the primer creating a superior bond. Unlike alternative surface preparation methods, mechanical prep does not introduce moisture into the concrete. The surface profile generated with shot-blasting/diamond grinding produces a higher bond strength initially and later allows recoating without further concrete surface preparation. We recommend aggressive shot-blasting for all resurfacing systems.
